We all have times in our lives where we hit a little bump in the road. Everything seems to spiral out our control. These past few weeks I feel like that bump has been a mountain that I can't seem to climb. I think I am close to reaching the top and I swear it grows a little. My body seems to be so tense with no way to relax. When I need to relax I have found that what helps is a little meditation. Last weekend I started to have a few panic attacks, I needed something so that I could breath again. I grabbed my tablet and turned on my relaxation app. I sat in a chair and followed the man's voice as he slowly helped me to relax. Before I knew it I was so relaxed I was near to sleeping. It was fantastic! I know meditation helps and to actually use it in my life is great. I will use this along with prayer to get this mountain to completely disappear.

Hi Amanda, did you try the Journey On relaxation exercise from class yet? While I don't have a ton of anxiety any more, I do have trouble relaxing and letting go. The exercise was unique because it allowed me to visual things happening inside my body rather than visualizing my body being somewhere else. Let me know what you thought about the exercise.

Hi Amanda sometimes we have to take a little time for ourselves and just relax. I know that everyday life sometimes gets overwhelming. Sit back relax and enjoy life, stress free!
ReplyDeleteHi Amanda,
ReplyDeleteFor never having a blog before, I must tell you that your's is beuatiful and interesting to look at. I am glad that the audio worked for you. The first one the Professor posted was great..very nice and relaxing. This weeks audio I did not find relaxing. Perhaps you could try a 15 minute downtime before bed and perhaps learn the art of meditation. People think that htis is difficult and that they have to be taught to meditate, not true at all. Real meditation is about breathing. Stay very focued on your breathing and nothing else (yes, I know difficult to do at times). Jst pay attention to the pattern of your breathing and try to get the breaths very shallow. Suddenyl you will be relaxed and suprised that you were able to 'get there" good luck! Sharon
